Compact Human-Compatible Form Factor
The AgiBot X2 Lite is a compact humanoid platform designed for education, embodied AI coursework, and research prototyping. Standing approximately 131 cm tall and weighing around 35 kg, it offers a manageable footprint for indoor labs, classrooms, and controlled public demonstrations while maintaining human-relevant reach for tables, doors, and interactive setups.
27 Degrees of Freedom for Foundational Robotics
The Lite configuration features approximately 27 total degrees of freedom, including 5 DoF per arm, supporting essential studies in bipedal locomotion, balance control, and basic manipulation. This configuration enables gait development, coordinated gestures, and introductory grasp experiments without the complexity of higher-tier dexterous systems.
Agile Mobility with Research-Ready Performance
The X2 Lite demonstrates walking speeds up to approximately 2 m/s (with typical operational speeds at or below 0.8 m/s for stability-focused applications). Runtime is up to around 2 hours per charge, depending on activity intensity, making it suitable for structured lab sessions and academic demonstrations.
AimDK_X2 Developer Framework
All X2 variants, including Lite, are supported by AgiBot’s AimDK_X2 task-level SDK. This framework provides APIs for locomotion control, preset behaviors, gesture scripting, sensor access, and voice interaction hooks. The toolkit is designed to accelerate time-to-first-demo for student teams and research groups, and integrates smoothly with ROS-adjacent workflows.
Accessible Entry into Humanoid Research
The Lite model prioritizes affordability and streamlined integration, offering a practical starting point for embodied AI research. It serves as a foundation for algorithm prototyping, human–robot interaction studies, and manipulation experiments, with a clear upgrade path to Pro or Ultra variants when expanded sensing or dexterity is required.
